Back to competition at last - Alice Dearing, GB swimmer

Published on: 15th February, 2021

At last! Competition in the UK. And marathon swimmer Alice Dearing was back in the pool for the first time in 11 months.

Alice normally competes in open water - but grabbed this opportunity as British Swimming put on a competitive meeting in Manchester.

She talks about how she loved the event and describes how it worked....and hopefully paves the way for more competitions and a return to recreational pools being opened.

Thanks for listening. You can find Alice on social media @alicedearingx

I’m also using it to raise money for Maggie’s Cancer Centres to thank them for the help they’ve given my wife and family during her bowel cancer journey.
