Ready to travel and race again - GB Paratriathlete George Peasegoold

Published on: 20th April, 2021

For the first time in 18 months this athlete is preparing for a flight to compete...and it's a flight to Japan. Paratriathlete George Peasegood is off to Yokohama to compete in the World Series in May.

Paralympic qualification points will be up for grabs and it's a step up from the recent competition where the running and cycling were on gym equipment.

George also talks about how much he's learnt since his Paralympic debut in Rio in 2016, where he led for around half of the race.

About the Podcast

Destination Tokyo
Olympic and Paralympic stories in the run up to the Tokyo Games.
I’ve covered 5 Olympic and 5 Paralympic Games at home and abroad. Tokyo 2020 was to have been numbers 6. So how are the athletes preparing during Covid times. And what are they learning in the run up to the Games. The Podcast lasts around 10 mins and comes out daily, Monday to Friday. I’m also using it to raise money for Maggie’s Cancer Centres to thank them for the help they’ve given my wife and family during her bowel cancer journey.
